Man I'm glad its over :) Seemed like forever, but I finally got my certificate for my CCW permit.. The reason it took so long was because we only had an outdoor shooting range to use, no indoor shooting range around here.. Seems like someone would have already thought of that, but oh well.. Another reason it took so long was the weather has been ungodly here, we have had severe thunderstorms it least 3 days out of every week for the last few months.. Good god we had tornados last weekend.. It had rained over night and into this morning, it was a little muddy but we weathered it quite well if I say so myself..
I qualified and got my certificate and all that is left is taking it, the receipt and $100 cash to the Sheriffs office next week so they can start the background check.. That I was told will take 45 days.. Then once that is done and everything is good to go, I have to take whatever they give me to license office and pay them $20 to have that "C" put on my license.. Wooo Hooo !!!!!!!! Almost there :) So I figure after the July 4th weekend I will be on my way..
I actually qualified with 3 different pistols, was quite exciting, really.. Terry kept asking me to shoot different guns that were there to see if I could handle them, only had a problem with one and that my neighbor' pistol, he had a Springfield Armory 9mm .. It was heavy and I couldn't get a good grip on it, but all in all I did fantastic :) All my shots were right in the middle right in the center of the target :)
